Remember Joba Chamberlain? Yeah that guy who came up right before Phil Hughes who was supposed to be the next Nolan Ryan. Last season, just as he was cementing himself as “one of the guys in the bullpen”, he injured his arm and required Tommy John surgery. If you remember the Joba Rules, they were implemented to slowly increase his workload to prevent the exact injury that occurred. Guess they didn’t work too well. Reports here are saying that his recovery is going well and he’ll be ready for opening day. That’s cool I guess. We can always use another Scott Proctor type pitcher out there.
